Expo New Mexico – Manuel Lujan Exhibit Complex
Creativity is in bloom at Albuquerque’s first major art event of the year, the Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival. The Festival features the work of more than 225 fine artists and craftsmen from all over the nation. This juried arts and crafts show is one of the largest in the state and is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors. The Festival was recently ranked among the “Top 200 Events Coast to Coast” by Events Business News. Participants in the show are selected from hundreds of applicants from across the country.
Come celebrate spring and watch art come to life at the March Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival! The Festival features 225 of the best artists and craftsmen from across the country, entertainment, artists’ demonstrations, food sampling, kids’ activities, and fun for the entire family!
The Festival highlights a great variety of handcrafted items not found anywhere else, at affordable prices. Creativity and uniqueness abound in pottery, paintings, jewelry, woodworking, clothing, and handcrafts of all kinds.

The Festival is conveniently located in Albuquerque, New Mexico’s largest and most central city. The festival is being held in the Manuel Lujan Exhibit Building at the Expo New Mexico Fairgrounds. From I-40, exit south on Louisiana Blvd. – turn west on Lomas Blvd. – turn south on San Pedro Blvd. to Gate 3-4 at the Expo New Mexico Fairgrounds.
Admission and Parking
Admission to the event is $6.00 for adults.
A 3-day pass is $8.00
The Festival is free for children under 12.
The Fairgrounds charges $4.00 for parking
Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta
The 38th annual Fiesta promises to provide adventure and excitement for everyone. Hot air balloons of every shape and color paint the bight blue New Mexico sky into a rainbow of colors during the 10-day festival. More than 700 balloons delight onlookers during Mass Ascensions, evening Balloon Glows, a Special Shape Rodeo and more.

2009 Albuquerque Fiber Arts Fiesta
The Albuquerque Fiber Arts Fiesta is a juried and judged show of 500+ entries from all over the US organized by the Albuquerque Fiber Arts Council and 16 NM fiber art guilds. It also includes a 50+ vendor mall, a Featured Artist exhibit by silk painter Dorothoy Bunny Bowen, classes, vendor and guild demos, several special exhibits including an educational exhibit showcasing the step-by-step creation of various fiber art forms and daily fashion shows!
