Description:
The Johnny Appleseed Festival is a not for profit, educational corporation. It’s sponsors include the Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department, Settlers Inc., Theta Chapter of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Scott’s Food and Pharmacy and the Lincoln Financial Group Foundation. The Festival is self supporting, thanks to the assistance of our sponsors, grants, booth rentals, and donations from selected vendors and Festival visitors. The Board is very proud that the Festival helps generate thousands of dollars for area not for profit groups, who put that money back to work for the community. The Board also takes great pride in the fact the these two days of family fun are free to all.

Johnny Appleseed Park is located on U.S. Highway 930 next to the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Take I-69 to exit 112B (Coldwater Road) to Fort Wayne. Follow Coldwater Road to U.S. 930 and take a left and go approximately 1/2 mile.

The Festival of Gingerbread, Fort Wayne, Indiana
Enjoy the culinary creativity at the 22nd annual Festival of Gingerbread in Fort Wayne, Ind. More than 100 gingerbread creations will be displayed at the History Center. The displays are judged in one of eight categories: children, teens, adults, culinary students, families, and professionals. A winner will be chosen from each category.
Museum tours, a lighting ceremony, Santa visits and live entertainment also will highlight the festivities. In addition, children will enjoy the stuffed animal give-away and face painting. Everyone will delight in the gingerbread refreshments available in the gift shop.

19th Annual Fort Worth Alliance Air Show
Welcome to the 19th Annual Fort Worth Alliance Air Show, to be held October 11-12, 2008. Bring the family for a full-day of daring aerobatic maneuvers, static displays, children’s activities, food and more! Admission is free! Parking is $20 per vehicle, any size.
Gates open at 9:00 a.m. Aerial performances start at 9:30 a.m. and last until the late afternoon. The same show is held both days.
The Fort Worth Alliance Air Show is a non-profit event with the goal of raising funds for its primary beneficiary.
