Train Festival at the Depot

Description:
3rd Annual Train Festival at the Depot. An “All Scale” Train Expo, from small scale model trains to full scale beautifully restored vintage train cars and an 1880 Toledo & Ohio Depot. Features children’s activities, a 1/3 scale free train ride, other train type rides, model train displays, exhibits, railroad memorabilia and art, swap meet, food and live entertainment.

German Village Oktoberfest
The 42nd annual German Village Oktoberfest will be held September 28-30, 2007, at the corner of South Grant and East Livingston Ave., immediately south of downtown Columbus, Ohio on the northern edge of German Village.UPDATE: original information was that Oktoberfest would be at the above location, now the German Village Society’s Web site says McFerson Commons in the Arena District! Here’s how to get to the Arena District.
Event hours are Friday, September 28, 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.; Saturday, September 29, Noon to 1:30 a.m.; and Sunday, September 30, Noon to 8:00 p.m. Admission charge is $8.00 for adults with senior and group tour discounts, children under 13 admitted free. The German Village Oktoberfest features over 60 bands on three states, authentic German beer and food, shops, and more. Oktoberfest has been described as “one of the top 100 events in North America.”
How to Get There
From the west: Take I-70 east to the Front-High St. exit and continue straight. This will become Livingston Avenue. The German Village Oktoberfest will be on your left after several blocks.
From the east: Take I-70 west to the 4th St. exit and go straight to S. High St. Turn left on S. High St., travel over the freeway and turn left on Livingston Avenue. The German Village Oktoberfest will be on your left after several blocks.
From the north: Take I-71 south to the Main St. exit and turn right onto E. Main St. Immediately turn right on Parsons Av., travel over the freeway and turn right on Livingston Avenue. The German Village Oktoberfest will be on your right after several blocks.
From the south: Take I-71 north to join I-70 east. Exit at the Front-High St. exit and continue straight. This will become Livingston Avenue. The German Village Oktoberfest will be on your left after several blocks.
