Charlotte’s Literary Festival
September 6, 2008
Charlotte’s Literary Festival & EclecFest:NoDa has been marked the historic arts district in Charlotte, NC. Many artists flock to this area with a mission to showcase their unique talents. Our goal is to provide artists the opportunity to make their dreams become a reality, as well as provide the NoDa community with a cultural flea market/festival
entitled EclecFest. EclecFest has gained notoriety and has become just as successful as other known outdoor events in NoDa, such as the Art Gallery Crawl and OctoberFest. EclecFest occurs every second Saturday behind Neighborhood Theatre. Because of EclecFests reputation and credibility, it complements Charlottes First Literary Festival. After conducting a thorough survey addressing Charlottes past, present and potential literary market, we developed Charlottes Annual Literary Festival. The Literary Festival helps give exposure to up and coming and established authors, and involves the Charlotte community by building awareness, appreciation, and exposure significance to the literary scene happening right in Charlotte and nationally. Upon researching other Literary Festivals, Charlotte emerged as one of the largest markets for new and existing authors and the Literary Festival creates opportunities and establishes necessary relationships to support, sustain, and develop this niche in the literary market.
Location: 3306 N. Davidson Street, Charlotte NC 28205
