With more than 5 million visitors making the Jacksonville area a destination, it should come as little surprise the area has plenty of things to see and do. From historic sites, clubs, the zoo and more, there’s something for everyone within the metropolitan area. Anheuser-Busch brewery: Located in Jacksonville proper, the brewery offers tours that show the beer-making process from start to finish. Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens: With a host of animals in its collection, the zoo offers a walking safari for its visitors. St. Augustine: An attraction on its own, the city’s Spanish Quarter is home to a fort made of coquina rock, the country’s oldest jail and more. Lighthouses and other attractions can be found here as well.
Jacksonville Landing: Located on the river, Jacksonville Landing offers shops, restaurants and live entertainment. The Landing is considered the heart of the downtown area’s ever-growing entertainment district and is a major draw for the city’s estimated 5.1 million annual visitors.
